About this role

Innodata seeks a Data & Annotation Engineer to manage annotation workflows, data ingestion, and governance documentation for a 20-week federal AI data platform initiative. You'll configure and operate the CVAT annotation pipeline, validate mission-aligned datasets, and produce labeled demonstration corpora in a secure IL4 environment while coordinating with AI and QA teams.

What you'll do

  • Receive, validate, and ingest mission-aligned corpus data with ontology mapping and load reporting
  • Configure and operate CVAT annotation pipeline against Phase 1 ruleset for production workflows
  • Manage both self-service and white-glove annotation paths during Phase D corpus production
  • Produce 50–100 labeled demonstration datasets from synthetic and mission-aligned content
  • Create dataset documentation and DataCard provenance records for governance framework
  • Support QA/Evaluation Lead on quality control execution and annotation dry-runs
