About this role

Inversion seeks an RF Test Engineer I to develop and execute RF test plans for advanced reentry vehicle systems, performing component through system-level validation of flight and ground telemetry hardware. You'll work within the Avionics team, characterizing RF performance and supporting integration and qualification testing for next-generation space platforms.

What you'll do

  • Develop and execute RF test plans, procedures, and verification methods for components, subsystems, and integrated systems
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory RF test configurations for receivers, transmitters, and antennas
  • Measure and characterize RF performance metrics including gain, noise figure, linearity, bandwidth, and interference susceptibility
  • Perform component and system-level RF testing using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes
  • Support integration, debug, and troubleshooting of RF hardware across development, qualification, and test environments
  • Collect, analyze, and document test data in formal reports and engineering briefings
