Jane Street seeks a Network Engineer intern to work alongside experienced mentors on critical infrastructure supporting the firm's distributed trading systems. You'll participate in real projects spanning network maintenance, routing protocols, provisioning, and automation across a multi-vendor environment.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate on site expansions and new colocation infrastructure builds
  • Debug and optimize routing protocols in production environments
  • Provision market data feeds and third-party network connections
  • Automate network support tasks and enhance monitoring capabilities
  • Conduct root-cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for production issues
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple teams on firm-wide network solutions
