About this role
Kitware seeks a Software Engineer to develop production-grade software for computer vision, machine learning, and AI applications. You'll translate research into real-world solutions across 3D reconstruction, object detection, and anomaly detection, working with C++ and Python in Linux, macOS, and Windows environments.
What you'll do
- Develop robust C++ and Python software solutions for computer vision and machine learning projects
- Translate research algorithms and prototypes into reliable, production-ready applications
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers across disciplines on AI and computer vision initiatives
- Support software development across Linux, macOS, and Windows platforms using tools like CMake and Visual Studio
- Engage with customers through site visits, field tests, and live demonstrations
- Contribute to open source projects such as VIAME and TeleSculptor
