About this role
Kodiak Robotics seeks a Software Engineer to develop motion control software for autonomous trucks. You'll design safety-critical control systems, characterize vehicle dynamics, and collaborate across teams to advance the company's autonomous driving technology.
What you'll do
- Implement control and actuation strategies for autonomous vehicle platforms
- Develop and test safety-critical C++ software controlling steering, braking, and acceleration
- Characterize vehicle performance including braking, steering, and acceleration dynamics
- Build motion prediction models for both onboard execution and simulation environments
- Specify requirements and document control system implementations
- Design fail-safe degraded operations capabilities for robust autonomous driving
