About this role
Kodiak Robotics seeks an AI/ML intern to develop computer vision and deep learning models for autonomous trucking systems. You'll design neural networks for 3D scene understanding, object detection, and sensor fusion while working with production ML pipelines in a fast-paced robotics environment.
What you'll do
- Design and implement machine learning algorithms in Python with focus on reliability and performance evaluation
- Develop deep neural networks for robotics tasks including 3D object detection, scene understanding, and self-supervised learning
- Create and refine ML datasets using camera, lidar, and radar sensor data
- Build and manage automated AI pipelines for continuous model improvement
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to optimize autonomous system performance
- Iterate rapidly on algorithm development from initial concept through validation
