About this role
Stratolaunch seeks a Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines and architecture supporting vehicle design, manufacturing, flight testing, and business operations for hypersonic aircraft programs. You'll work with the Enterprise Software Team to integrate commercial and custom tools, manage databases, and enable data accessibility across the organization.
What you'll do
- Design and implement data pipelines to move production and test data through various systems
- Serve as subject matter expert for data system architecture development and support
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate and select appropriate data technologies
- Administer relational and non-relational databases in production environments
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using orchestration tools
- Support ML-based tools and workflows for vehicle design and operations

- Python, Rust, C, or MATLAB programming
- Relational and non-relational database administration (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Docker containerization and orchestration (Dagster or similar)
- CI/CD and DevSecOps systems (Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo)
- Bash and shell scripting
- Data pipeline and ETL tool development
- Cloud services (Azure or AWS)
- Data visualization and analytics tools
