Embedded Software Engineer II - High Level OS
About this role
Latitude AI seeks an embedded software engineer to develop and maintain OS-level software for autonomous driving platforms, including bootloaders, Linux kernels, and secure boot mechanisms. You'll work on Board Support Packages and system-level infrastructure for ADAS platforms across multiple hardware variants.
What you'll do
- Produce, test, and maintain Board Support Packages for multiple platforms
- Develop custom bootchain and Linux OS for ADAS platforms
- Implement and manage secure boot mechanisms and recovery workflows
- Develop Linux device drivers for Ethernet, GPU, PCIe, and storage devices
- Manage CVEs and security patches throughout platform lifecycle
- Configure IPC mechanisms between Real-Time and Application domains

- Linux kernel and device driver development
- Bootloader experience (U-Boot, UEFI)
- Yocto/OpenEmbedded or buildroot
- Secure Boot, DMVerity, FSCrypt technologies
- Embedded systems development with C++
- ARM Trusted Firmware and OPTEE (preferred)
- Python, Bazel, Docker (preferred)
- gtest framework and unit testing
