About this role

Join LaunchDarkly's Flag Delivery team to build and operate high-scale, low-latency systems that stream feature-flag configuration to SDKs globally in near real time. You'll own projects end-to-end using Go, AWS, and Terraform, with mentorship from senior engineers on distributed systems and production operations.

What you'll do

  • Build, ship, and operate streaming and polling infrastructure for flag delivery
  • Own projects from design through implementation, rollout, and operational support
  • Investigate and resolve production issues while participating in on-call rotation
  • Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code and design reviews
  • Improve observability and reliability of owned systems
  • Collaborate across SDK Engineering, Data Platform, and product teams

  • Backend language proficiency (Go, Rust, Python, Java, or equivalent)
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS or similar)
  • Data structures and algorithms
  • Concurrency and distributed systems fundamentals

  • Testing and code quality practices
