About this role

LaunchDarkly seeks a Developer Advocate to convert trial signups into engaged users by providing personalized, help-first technical outreach and building scalable AI-assisted workflows. You'll combine hands-on SDK troubleshooting with public content creation and growth analytics to activate both high-intent leads and self-serve developers.

What you'll do

  • Follow up on trial and developer-tier signups from Growth team, prioritizing enterprise ICP-fit leads with clear coverage and response commitments
  • Provide personalized, problem-solving outreach including SDK integration help, tutorials, and stack-specific examples
  • Create tutorials, videos, and posts under your own name to build public credibility as a helpful practitioner
  • Design first-success content and run office hours demonstrating platform capabilities beyond feature flags (experimentation, observability, releases, AI Configs)
  • Build and maintain AI-assisted workflows for outreach, usage analysis, and next-step suggestions while monitoring results
  • Report on activation stalls, success signals, and playbook learnings to inform Growth and Product decisions

What they're looking for

  • SDK integration troubleshooting and hands-on technical debugging
  • AI tool fluency and workflow design
  • Content creation across written, video, and live formats
  • Growth analytics, activation funnels, and conversion metrics
  • Developer empathy and help-first communication
  • Multi-language and multi-framework familiarity
  • Lead scoring and intent signal interpretation
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and iterating on strategy

Likely interview questions

  • Walk us through a time you helped a developer solve a real technical problem—what made your approach effective?
  • How would you approach outreach to a cold signup who's stuck on SDK integration versus one who's already showing product usage?
