About this role

Lightmatter seeks an experienced analog IC design engineer to develop mixed-signal circuits for next-generation photonic data center systems. You'll design critical AMS blocks like data converters and amplifiers, collaborate across architecture and design teams, and validate performance from simulation through lab testing.

What you'll do

  • Design analog and mixed-signal circuits including data converters, amplifiers, drivers, comparators, and bandgap references
  • Conduct feasibility studies to support micro-architecture development with chip architects
  • Collaborate with system, digital, analog, and photonics engineers to define electrical requirements
  • Perform block-level floorplanning, mask design, and post-layout simulations for integration validation
  • Create and execute production and bench-level test plans
  • Validate circuit performance in laboratory environments

What they're looking for

  • Analog and mixed-signal circuit design
  • CMOS device physics and characteristics
  • Noise, mismatch, and linearity analysis
  • Cadence Design Environment
  • Analog circuit testing and lab validation
  • Silicon photonics interfacing (preferred)
  • Chip top-level design (preferred)
  • Cross-functional collaboration

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
