About this role
Lila Sciences seeks a Software Engineer I to develop instrument integration software that enables communication between lab robotics, automation hardware, and control systems for AI-enabled laboratory automation. You'll work at the intersection of software, hardware, and science to build robust drivers and cloud-edge infrastructure integrations.
What you'll do
- Develop software for communication between robotic arms, liquid handlers, sensors, and control systems
- Integrate lab instruments into AI-enabled lab automation infrastructure managing cloud and edge interfaces
- Perform rigorous testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of drivers and hardware-software integration
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for driver interfaces and APIs
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, developers, product managers, and end-users on integration challenges
- Leverage AI-driven development tools and coding models to improve software delivery speed and quality
