About this role

Lovable seeks an exceptional Forward Deployed Engineer to establish a new function that bridges engineering, product, and customer success. You'll partner directly with ambitious customers to build novel AI-powered solutions, translate real-world insights into core product improvements, and shape an entirely new discipline at a founding-stage company.

What you'll do

  • Work directly with customers to understand workflows and translate their needs into integrated Lovable solutions
  • Design and implement end-to-end projects from concept through architecture to shipping and iteration
  • Translate customer usage patterns and feedback into foundational platform improvements and strategy
  • Establish processes, playbooks, and organizational design for the Forward Deployed Engineering function
  • Contribute to core product direction and technical roadmap decisions
  • Rapidly prototype and experiment with emerging AI systems and novel use cases

  • Full-stack product development (5+ years)
  • React and TypeScript frontend engineering
  • Backend development (Golang, Rust, or equivalent)
  • Distributed systems and architectural design
  • Product intuition and user-centric problem solving
  • Rapid prototyping and experimentation
  • LLM and agentic AI systems (bonus)
  • High-ambiguity problem solving and ownership
