About this role

VIP is hiring an IT Systems Engineer 3 to design, implement, and maintain complex enterprise systems with a focus on automation, security, and scalability. You'll lead infrastructure projects, mentor junior engineers, and work across Windows, Linux, cloud, and virtualization technologies in a hybrid role based in Colchester, VT.

What you'll do

  • Automate processes and reduce manual work using Ansible, PowerShell, and bash scripting
  • Design and implement complex systems on x64/x86 servers, virtualized environments, and web hosting platforms like HAProxy and Tomcat
  • Diagnose root causes of incidents and execute full resolution for critical infrastructure issues
  • Implement security measures, maintain SOC 1&2 compliance, and manage identity/access controls
  • Mentor Level I and II Systems Engineers and collaborate with Security, Middleware, and other teams
  • Research and lead deployment of emerging tools and technologies from testing through rollout
