About this role
Mach Industries, a defense technology startup, seeks an Automation Engineer to design and deploy advanced automated manufacturing systems for next-generation defense platforms. You'll integrate robotics, PLCs, and control systems while optimizing production efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Design and implement automated manufacturing systems including robotics, PLCs, conveyors, and vision systems
- Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
- Analyze production workflows to optimize throughput, quality, and cost efficiency
- Support equipment commissioning, validation, and manufacturing process ramp-up
- Diagnose failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and quality engineering teams and maintain comprehensive system documentation
