Avionics Integration Engineer
About this role
Mach Industries seeks an Avionics Integration Engineer to develop and integrate avionics systems for next-generation autonomous defense platforms. You'll collaborate across GNC, software, mechanical, and thermal teams to design robust avionics architectures, conduct system integration testing, and ensure seamless subsystem compatibility for unmanned aerial vehicles.
What you'll do
- Develop and integrate avionics systems, maintaining functionality across vehicle iterations and updates
- Create high-level block diagrams and collaborate with vehicle teams to define electrical and system requirements
- Design and provide technical support for iron-birds, prototypes, and special projects
- Troubleshoot avionics hardware and software issues and develop effective solutions
- Integrate and test new systems, sensors, and subsystems with existing avionics into vehicle prototypes
- Create processes, procedures, and training materials for avionics configuration and post-integration checks

- QGroundControl and Mission Planner configuration
- RF systems and software-defined radio troubleshooting
- Electronics fundamentals and Altium PCB design
- Linux environments and GitHub version control
- Network analysis tools (Wireshark, iperf3)
- Oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and soldering proficiency
- System architecture visualization and technical documentation
