About this role
Mach Industries seeks a new graduate manufacturing engineer to lead the industrialization and high-volume production ramp of autonomous defense systems. You'll bridge product design and manufacturing operations, optimizing processes for speed, cost, and reliability while working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced defense tech startup.
What you'll do
- Own production planning from prototype builds through mass-production ramp at manufacturing facilities
- Design high-throughput manufacturing systems targeting world-class first-pass yield and cycle times
- Drive design-for-manufacturability optimization including part reduction, tooling compatibility, and error-proofing
- Lead cross-functional manufacturing virtual-build events covering feasibility, assembly sequencing, GD&T, and tolerance analysis
- Define manufacturing systems via material/build/equipment bills of materials using tools like EasyPlan or DELMIA
- Support automation deployment, capacity planning, cost estimation, and continuous improvement through SPC and PFMEA

- Manufacturing process planning and work instruction development
- CAD software (AutoCAD) and manufacturing planning tools (EasyPlan, DELMIA)
- Statistical process control, PFMEA, and root cause analysis (8D)
- Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis
- Lean Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodology
- Cost and capacity planning, PMTS cycle time analysis (MODAPTS/MOST/MTM)
- Cross-functional collaboration and technical communication
