About this role

Mach Industries, a defense technology startup, seeks an RF Engineer to design advanced RF front ends and transceivers for next-generation autonomous defense platforms including UAVs and missiles. You'll lead RF circuit development from concept through manufacturing while collaborating across electrical, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.

What you'll do

  • Design RF front ends, transceivers, phased arrays, transmitters, and receivers for defense systems
  • Develop RF component designs including matching networks, filters, LNAs, mixers, VGAs, and synthesizers
  • Perform schematic capture and PCB layout for RF transceivers and high-speed circuits
  • Conduct design validation testing using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and related test equipment
  • Troubleshoot EMI/RFI issues and analyze field operational performance data
  • Contribute to RF/microwave system integration and embedded software development

  • RF circuit design and simulation (AWR MWO, Keysight ADS, or Genesys)
  • RF fundamentals (impedance matching, Smith charts, IP3, phase noise, microwave network analysis)
  • PCB layout and schematic capture (Altium Designer)
  • RF test equipment operation (signal generators, spectrum/signal analyzers, network analyzers)
  • MATLAB programming
