Mariana Minerals is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer (Autonomy) to develop software that enables autonomous mining vehicles to operate safely and efficiently. The role focuses on sensor integration, software development, and validation processes to pioneer fully autonomous mining technology.

What you'll do

  • Develop autonomy software for mining vehicles
  • Integrate and calibrate sensor suites for robust operation
  • Build and maintain embedded and real-time software
  • Develop simulation and data pipelines for testing
  • Lead validation of the autonomy stack in real-world conditions
  • Collaborate with hardware and controls engineers

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's in Mechatronics, Robotics, or related field
  • 5-10+ years in robotics or embedded software
  • Proficient in C++ and/or Python
  • Experience with ROS/ROS 2
  • Hands-on sensor integration and fusion experience
  • Knowledge of real-time embedded systems
  • Experience with autonomous vehicles preferred
