Mercor is seeking a Software Engineer for its Marketplace team in San Francisco. This role involves developing backend systems crucial for matching candidates to AI opportunities, ensuring performance and reliability in a rapidly evolving marketplace environment.

What you'll do

• Develop backend services for candidate-job matching and workflows
• Create APIs for search, eligibility, and allocation
• Build data models for marketplace evolution
• Establish infrastructure for real-time decision making
• Maintain operational systems for reliable workflows
• Enhance API performance for marketplace decisions

What they're looking for

• Experience with reliable backend systems
• Strong system design and performance judgment
• Knowledge of high-throughput APIs and distributed systems
• Ability to translate requirements into technical systems
• High engineering standards
• Familiarity with Python, Go, Kafka, and Postgres
• Understanding of event-driven architecture
• Experience with machine learning products
