About this role

Reddit is hiring a Software Engineer to own the Product Details Page (Comments) experience—one of the platform's highest-traffic surfaces. You'll collaborate across product and design to build and ship features at scale, balancing rapid iteration with quality on a distributed system serving 130M+ daily users.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop features for Reddit's Comments page in collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams
  • Contribute across the full development lifecycle: architecture, coding, testing, experimentation, and launch
  • Review code and design documents; provide feedback on product specifications and mockups
  • Shape team strategy and technical standards while improving developer workflows
  • Build and maintain scalable APIs using GraphQL, REST, gRPC, or Thrift
  • Balance shipping velocity with code quality and reliability on high-traffic infrastructure
