Aviation Warfare Systems Engineer
About this role
Mobius seeks an Aviation Warfare Systems Engineer to support Ford Class aircraft carrier design and construction in Newport News, VA. You'll lead coordination teams, manage system installation and testing, resolve technical integration issues, and ensure aviation warfare systems meet contract requirements and operational standards.
What you'll do
- Lead the Aviation Installation Coordination Team and serve on the Warfare Systems ICT to coordinate between NAVAIR, shipbuilders, and government stakeholders
- Provide technical risk assessment and support to Ship Design Managers and Aviation Systems Engineering Manager
- Oversee installation, configuration, and testing of aviation warfare system hardware and software for Ford Class carriers
- Identify and escalate technical issues to subject matter experts and systems commands for resolution
- Support integrated test programs through ship delivery and coordinate early systems assessment activities
- Facilitate communication and resource coordination between government team and shipbuilder to meet cost and schedule requirements

- USN Aviation Warfare Systems knowledge (aircraft carriers or large deck amphibious ships)
- Shipyard, NAWC, SUPSHIP, or Type Commander operations experience
- Technical writing and communication
- NAVAIR and NAVSEA systems familiarity
- CVN 78/79 platform experience
- Systems integration and testing coordination
- Risk assessment and technical problem-solving
- Cross-functional team leadership
