Flight Test Engineer
About this role
Mobius seeks a Flight Test Engineer to support missile defense testing programs for the government. You'll manage pre-mission flight test planning, develop test architectures, coordinate instrumentation and range resources, and ensure telemetry coverage adequacy across multiple test sites, with occasional travel to ranges nationwide.
What you'll do
- Assist Test Resource Manager with flight test planning, architecture development, and execution activities
- Assess instrumentation readiness, launch support equipment, test ranges, and safety systems
- Develop and validate test resource architectures and sensor requirements with stakeholder review
- Coordinate telemetry, radar, optical, and GPS instrumentation to meet coverage requirements
- Manage schedules and resolve range/resource conflicts with internal and external agencies
- Conduct telemetry link margin analysis and prepare briefings for formal reviews
