Blockchain Platform Engineer

About this role

MoonPay is seeking a Blockchain Platform Engineer to design and operate high-volume transaction infrastructure supporting crypto, stablecoins, and tokenized assets at scale. You'll own transaction pipelines, wallet systems, cross-chain integrations, and reliable backend services that power 30M+ customers while maintaining financial correctness and system resilience.

What you'll do

• Design and improve high-volume transaction broadcasting pipelines with detection, retry, and recovery mechanisms
• Build and maintain wallet infrastructure, parallel transaction handling, and operational monitoring systems
• Develop cross-chain and multi-step transaction orchestration systems with state machines for partial failure scenarios
• Implement off-chain services that reliably interact with on-chain contracts and smart contracts
• Participate in project estimation, planning, incident response, and post-mortems to improve system reliability
• Collaborate with Product Managers to design scalable implementations that evolve with growing volume
