About this role

Neros seeks a Manufacturing Operations Engineer to optimize and oversee production of high-performance unmanned systems for defense applications. You'll eliminate production bottlenecks, implement lean methodologies, and collaborate with design teams to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency at scale.

What you'll do

  • Remove production obstacles and ensure daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing goals are met
  • Apply lean and industrial engineering principles (1-piece flow, value stream mapping, 5S, poka-yoke) to optimize assembly lines
  • Collaborate with Design and NPI teams on design changes that improve manufacturability
  • Maintain and update manufacturing documentation including BOMs, work instructions, and fixture designs
  • Design and optimize workstations for ergonomics and efficiency in medium to high-volume production
  • Support transition of new products from engineering development to full production

  • Industrial or manufacturing engineering (BS or equivalent experience)
  • High-volume assembly line optimization and process improvement
  • Lean and 6 Sigma methodologies
  • Line balancing, WIP management, and 1-piece flow principles
  • Fixturing design and mechanical assembly knowledge
  • Electronics or electromechanical product assembly experience
  • BOM and work instruction documentation
  • NPI (New Product Introduction) transition management
