About this role
Join New Relic's Data, Identity, & API Platform group to build and maintain the query language and gateway stack for a petabyte-scale distributed database serving millions of messages per second. You'll own critical infrastructure components, participate in cross-functional collaboration, and take on-call responsibilities in a DevOps-driven team.
What you'll do
- Own the New Relic query language and gateway stack
- Build and maintain scalable distributed Java services handling petabyte-scale infrastructure
- Investigate and resolve critical performance, availability, and resiliency issues in multi-region, multi-cloud environments
- Participate in cross-functional committees collaborating with AI, Visualizations, and Data Processing teams
- Participate in on-call rotation to respond to system failures and maintain service reliability
- Develop and operate software using DevOps principles with end-to-end ownership
