About this role
NewsBreak seeks a Local POI Knowledge Graph Engineer to design and scale a foundational local knowledge graph powering merchant data, entity resolution, and places information. This role combines data engineering with graph systems work to fuse multi-source POI data into a clean, queryable platform supporting search and discovery across the platform.
What you'll do
- Build and scale the local knowledge graph including POI/places data systems, schema, and ontology
- Own entity resolution and entity linking across multiple conflicting data sources
- Develop merchant/listing data-quality systems to maintain graph accuracy over time
- Fuse multi-source POI data into coherent representations at scale
- Partner with intent and matching teams to power search, discovery, and matching capabilities
