About this role
ERGO NEXT seeks a Backend Software Engineer to build and own features across their technology-driven small business insurance platform. You'll work with Kotlin, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver production-ready code multiple times daily.
What you'll do
- Design and develop backend features end-to-end, from conception through production deployment with high quality and test coverage
- Own the Agents Channel domain and support related backend systems
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and frontend teams to iterate on solutions
- Write clean, testable code and deploy via CI/CD pipeline
- Leverage AI and LLM tools to enhance developer productivity
- Work with distributed, cloud-based environments on AWS infrastructure

- Backend development (6+ years) with Java/Kotlin, Python, or .NET
- Object-oriented programming and design patterns
- AWS or cloud platform experience
