About this role
Northwood Space seeks an FPGA Engineer to design and implement digital systems for satellite ground station antenna arrays. You'll develop networking and DSP blocks on FPGAs for high-speed data processing, drive product development from prototype to deployment, and analyze field performance data to improve reliability.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and test networking and DSP FPGA blocks for high-rate parallel data processing
- Lead multi-disciplinary projects from initial design through prototype, shipment, and operations
- Drive system architectures, analyze tradeoffs, and define system requirements
- Analyze field testing performance data to diagnose issues and inform product improvements
- Debug high-speed FPGA designs using lab equipment like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
