About this role
Join Notion's Collections Infra team to scale the database infrastructure powering millions of users. You'll tackle performance, reliability, and concurrency challenges as Notion grows into larger enterprise deployments and AI-native workflows, working on systems that sit between infrastructure and product.
What you'll do
- Improve database load performance and reliability at P95 scale for enterprise workspaces
- Design and build microservices architecture supporting high-volume concurrent writes from AI agents
- Partner with product teams to evolve Collections as a platform that other Notion teams can build on
- Debug and optimize data-layer bottlenecks in distributed systems handling real customer workloads
- Enhance observability, documentation, and system boundaries to raise infrastructure quality
- Work alongside senior engineers and product teams to balance internal developer needs with customer experience
