About this role

Join Notion's Web Infrastructure team to optimize the web client's performance and developer experience. You'll lead projects that reduce page load times, improve interaction latency, and build frameworks that empower engineers to ship high-quality products faster.

What you'll do

  • Optimize page loading experience through code modularization, lazy loading, and asset caching strategies
  • Reduce interaction latency by making components and codebase more efficient and lightweight
  • Design and implement developer tooling and frameworks that improve engineering velocity
  • Define best practices and guardrails for web engineers across product teams
  • Measure and iterate on real-user performance metrics at scale
  • Collaborate with platform and product teams to deliver measurable impact

What they're looking for

  • 8-10+ years building and optimizing large web applications with React or similar frameworks
  • Proven expertise improving real-user performance metrics from page load to post-load interactivity
  • Proficiency with modern bundling and build tools like Webpack
  • Performance profiling and analysis
  • Systems thinking and ability to design scalable abstractions
  • Strong cross-team collaboration and communication
  • Experience with large monorepos and dependency management
  • Knowledge of design systems and component accessibility
