About this role

Nuro is hiring an NPI Engineer to lead hardware product introduction for autonomous vehicles, managing the transition from prototype through production launch. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing readiness, scalable processes, and successful product industrialization for complex AV hardware systems.

What you'll do

  • Lead new product introduction activities from prototype builds through pilot and production launch phases
  • Coordinate cross-functional readiness across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and suppliers
  • Develop build plans, manufacturing documentation, and risk mitigation strategies for hardware programs
  • Partner with design teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and production scalability
  • Drive issue resolution for build defects, nonconformances, and supplier readiness concerns
  • Manage PLM workflows, BOM maintenance, engineering changes, and configuration control
