About this role

Okta seeks an experienced Solutions Engineer to bridge sales and technical delivery for Auth0 identity solutions. You'll conduct discovery, build POCs, deliver technical presentations, and translate customer needs to internal teams across multiple strategic accounts.

What you'll do

  • Partner with account executives on territory strategy and account expansion within Okta's identity platform
  • Execute proof-of-concept implementations for customers with complex IAM and zero trust requirements
  • Conduct discovery and communicate business value of cloud-based identity solutions to prospects
  • Create and deliver technical demos and presentations showcasing Okta's platform capabilities
  • Develop technical content demonstrating implementation patterns for specific use cases and technologies
  • Communicate customer requirements and product feedback to Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams

What they're looking for

  • 5+ years pre-sales engineering experience
  • Deep expertise in IAM protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, LDAP) and concepts (SSO, MFA, SCIM, RBAC, provisioning)
  • Zero Trust Architecture knowledge and core security principles (encryption, SSL/TLS, XSS/XSRF mitigation)
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Hands-on development experience in web, mobile, or backend technologies (JavaScript, Python, Java, Node.js, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to map and manage multiple stakeholder personas (IT admins, CISOs, architects, legal, procurement)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent field (preferred)
