CAD Engineer II
About this role
OBE seeks an experienced CAD Engineer II in Los Angeles to create detailed shop drawings for architectural glass and building envelope systems using AutoCAD. The role involves translating design concepts into fabrication-ready documentation while collaborating with sales and engineering teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Produce multi-view shop drawings from architectural sets, sketches, and customer order information with accuracy verification
- Interpret and evaluate architectural drawings to ensure design intent and compliance with specifications
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback and design requirement changes
- Manage drawing records and documentation using Autodesk Vault
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to understand project requirements and translate them into precise drawings
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
