Product Engineer
About this role
OBE seeks a Production Engineer to bridge customer requirements and manufacturing execution for architectural glass and building products. You'll manage order processing, technical documentation, and cross-functional coordination to ensure projects ship accurately and on schedule.
What you'll do
- Develop expertise in products and accessories to guide order management and customer communications
- Create and edit sales orders that accurately reflect customer contracts
- Produce technical drawings for breakform, fabrication, and glass fabrication
- Source competitive quotes from vendors for panels, breakform, and security screens
- Partner with Project Management and Sales to resolve order discrepancies and manage change orders
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to support Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Finance teams
What they're looking for
- Order management systems (Soft Tech V6 preferred)
- Technical and construction drawing interpretation
- Excel, Word, Access, and CAD proficiency
- Strong keyboarding and mathematical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Fenestration industry knowledge (preferred)
- Vendor management and procurement coordination
- Cross-functional collaboration
