About this role

Olsson seeks a Tank & Vessel Associate Engineer to design and analyze aboveground storage tanks, pressure vessels, and industrial structures for agricultural, food and beverage, and manufacturing clients. You'll perform engineering analysis, develop ANSYS models, ensure code compliance, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on greenfield and brownfield projects across the United States.

What you'll do

  • Perform engineering analysis and design for tanks, vessels, silos, bins, hoppers, and related industrial equipment
  • Develop ANSYS finite element models for design, repair, and alteration of tanks and pressure vessels
  • Prepare calculations, specifications, drawings, reports, and construction documents
  • Review designs for compliance with ASME and API codes (API 650, 620, 653, ASME Section VIII)
  • Coordinate with process, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical engineers on integrated solutions
  • Support construction administration, field investigations, and client meetings; travel to facilities as needed
