Platform Engineer

About this role

OnePay is seeking a Platform Engineer to develop and enhance their core services and frameworks, which power large-scale distributed systems and intelligent applications. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in software engineering within fintech environments, particularly with Kafka and AWS.

What you'll do

• Design and operate platform services for distributed systems
• Architect and manage Kafka-based event streaming systems
• Develop internal tooling to improve engineering efficiency
• Build frameworks for agentic applications and automated workflows
• Collaborate with engineering, data, and AI teams on complex challenges

What they're looking for

• 7+ years in software engineering
• Experience with Kafka-based architectures
• Knowledge of distributed systems and asynchronous processing
• Cloud-native infrastructure experience in AWS
• Ability to build developer platforms and tooling
