About this role

OpenAI seeks an AI Deployment Engineer to help strategic partners integrate agent capabilities into their platforms using OpenAI's tech stack. You'll own the full lifecycle of partner integrations—from architecture and prototyping through launch and maintenance—while balancing identity systems, security, developer experience, and reliable agent workflows.

What you'll do

  • Own technical partner journeys for agent enablement integrations from use-case selection through architecture, implementation, evaluation, and launch
  • Help partners choose and implement integration paths for browser sign-in, OAuth, and agentic account linking with secure fallback behavior
  • Write production code, build reference implementations, and create integration guidance, checklists, and debugging tools
  • Debug identity and agent workflows end-to-end including OAuth/OIDC, token exchange, account mapping, latency, and reliability issues
  • Review partner architectures for API contracts, permissions, consent, secret handling, privacy, and long-term maintainability
  • Contribute improvements to ChatGPT, Codex, and the Agent Enablement platform; distill recurring patterns into playbooks and platform requirements
