AI Deployment Engineer- Codex

About this role

OpenAI seeks an AI Deployment Engineer to serve as a technical expert guiding enterprise customers in adopting Codex throughout their software development processes. You'll design AI-enhanced workflows, build demos and integrations, conduct technical training, and translate customer insights into product feedback while acting as a strategic advisor on AI coding tool adoption.

What you'll do

• Act as primary technical expert for a portfolio of customers, embedding deeply to enable their engineering teams and build AI-enhanced coding workflows
• Design and implement AI-enhanced development workflows from prototyping through production rollout in partnership with customers
• Create high-quality demos, reference implementations, and workflow automations using Codex
• Lead workshops, technical deep dives, and enablement sessions for engineering organizations adopting AI coding tools
• Gather customer deployment insights and translate them into product proposals and model feedback
• Serve as trusted advisor on solution architecture, security, operational readiness, and best-practice adoption
