About this role
OpenAI seeks an AI Deployment Engineer to partner with government agencies, nonprofits, and public sector organizations, helping them adopt and scale GenAI solutions responsibly. You'll serve as a technical advisor guiding partners from discovery through production deployment while translating complex AI concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Advise public sector partners on identifying and deploying high-impact AI use cases from pilot to production
- Design prototypes and proof-of-concepts tailored to government and nonprofit missions
- Conduct workshops, office hours, and implementation sessions with external stakeholders
- Develop deployment playbooks, educational content, and reusable best practice resources
- Gather stakeholder feedback and represent partner needs to internal OpenAI product teams
- Manage relationships with government and nonprofit leadership to ensure successful application scaling
