Forward Deployed Software Engineer - NYC

About this role

OpenAI seeks an experienced full-stack engineer to embed with strategic customers and build production systems using OpenAI's APIs. You'll design custom solutions, lead technical implementations alongside customers, and provide feedback to shape product development.

What you'll do

• Partner with strategic customers to understand business challenges and technical needs
• Design and develop full-stack solutions using iterative, experiment-driven approaches
• Prepare scopes of work and project plans for POCs and production deployments
• Code alongside customer technical teams as a trusted technical advisor
• Collaborate with Product, Research, and Applied teams on customer feedback and project success
• Document best practices and insights to scale the Forward Deployed Engineering function
