Full Stack Software Engineer, API Experience
About this role
Join OpenAI's API Experience team to build the developer-facing products and infrastructure that help millions of developers work with OpenAI models. You'll own full-stack projects spanning the Playground, documentation, SDKs, onboarding flows, and API tools while partnering across product, design, and engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Develop and scale developer-facing products including the API Playground, documentation experiences, and onboarding flows
- Own full stack projects from product definition through backend implementation, launch, and iteration
- Improve systems for generating, maintaining, and publishing SDKs, API references, documentation, and examples
- Partner with API, research, and infrastructure teams to bring new model capabilities to developers clearly
- Use developer feedback and analytics to identify friction points and enhance the API experience
- Help establish technical and product direction for the NYC-based team
