Full Stack Software Engineer, Health AI

About this role

OpenAI's Health AI team seeks a full stack software engineer to build and scale AI-powered health products for patients and clinicians globally. You'll own end-to-end feature development while ensuring safety, privacy, and regulatory compliance in high-stakes medical applications.

What you'll do

• Design and build scalable full stack systems for consumer and enterprise health products
• Own complete feature lifecycle from design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Build data pipelines and services meeting strict privacy, security, and HIPAA compliance requirements
• Collaborate with researchers and safety teams to integrate reliability and guardrails into production
• Optimize and harden systems for high availability, performance, and global scale
• Drive ambiguous problems to practical, high-quality solutions with minimal supervision
