About this role

OpenAI seeks a founding Partner AI Deployment Engineer to serve as the technical leader for systems integrators and their customers, helping them identify high-value GenAI use cases and accelerate deployment from prototype to production. You'll embed with partners as a trusted advisor, build prototypes, mentor teams, and scale best practices across the partner ecosystem.

What you'll do

  • Act as technical thought partner to GSIs, RSIs, and boutique systems integrators to ideate and build novel applications on OpenAI's API
  • Identify high-value GenAI applications for partners' customers and help build a comprehensive AI roadmap and backlog
  • Build hands-on prototypes and deliver strategic guidance to accelerate customer time to value
  • Manage relationships with senior SI and customer stakeholders to ensure successful deployment and scaling
  • Lead technical support and mentor partner teams toward self-sufficiency with OpenAI-powered solutions
  • Codify solution packages, architectural patterns, and best practices; contribute to open-source repositories and knowledge bases

  • 8+ years of technical consulting experience with C-level relationship management
  • Complex technical program leadership with multiple stakeholders
  • Python or JavaScript programming
  • Generative AI and/or machine learning implementation experience
  • OpenAI API prototyping and development
  • Technical presentation and communication across business and technical audiences
  • End-to-end problem ownership and self-directed learning
  • Cross-functional collaboration and team support
