Research Engineer / Research Scientist -Personal AGI, Proactivity
About this role
OpenAI seeks a Research Engineer/Scientist to develop and improve model personalization and proactive capabilities within the Post-Training team. You'll conduct research on reinforcement learning, evaluation methods, and post-training techniques to create more anticipatory and user-focused AI assistants.
What you'll do
- Own research agenda to enhance model proactivity and ability to support user goals
- Design and build robust evaluation systems for tracking model improvements
- Implement, test, and debug code across the research infrastructure stack
- Collaborate with research and product teams to shape technical solutions
- Contribute to dataset creation and post-training methodology

- LLM post-training and evaluation knowledge
