Solutions Engineer, Core Digital Native
About this role
OpenAI seeks an experienced Solutions Engineer to guide Digital Native customers through pre-sales engagements, helping them identify high-value AI use cases and implement OpenAI's product suite. You'll combine technical expertise with strategic business acumen to demonstrate value, build customer relationships, and advocate for customer needs across the organization.
What you'll do
- Deliver pre-sales technical expertise to prospects, answering questions about OpenAI's products, APIs, and LLM capabilities
- Build demos and develop architectural recommendations to showcase how OpenAI solutions address customer business needs
- Create documentation, guides, and FAQs based on common customer questions discovered during pre-sales
- Nurture customer relationships through evaluation, validation, and purchasing phases
- Gather customer feedback and relay themes to internal teams for product planning incorporation
- Handle security and compliance inquiries, explaining policies and escalating complex requirements appropriately
What they're looking for
- Technical pre-sales and solution consulting (10+ years)
- B2B SaaS sales experience with C-level stakeholders (4+ years)
- IT security principles and compliance knowledge
- Programming languages (Python or Javascript)
- Generative AI and machine learning implementation experience
- Cloud and network architecture understanding
- Executive presentation and cross-functional communication
- Problem-solving and self-directed learning
