About this role

OpenAI is seeking a Solutions Engineer to guide enterprise customers through pre-sales engagements, helping them identify high-value AI use cases and implement ChatGPT and OpenAI API solutions. You'll serve as a technical advisor, building demos, recommending architectures, and ensuring customers achieve measurable business outcomes.

What you'll do

  • Deliver pre-sales technical expertise to prospects and customers, answering questions about products, APIs, and LLMs
  • Build and present demos that show how OpenAI solutions address specific business needs
  • Create documentation, guides, and FAQs based on recurring customer questions and requirements
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships through evaluation, validation, and purchase stages
  • Gather customer feedback and represent their voice internally to inform product planning
  • Address security and compliance questions and escalate complex requirements to appropriate teams

  • 3+ years technical pre-sales or similar experience with C-level stakeholders
  • IT security principles and B2B SaaS compliance knowledge
  • Python or JavaScript programming fundamentals
  • Generative AI and machine learning solution development
  • Network and cloud architecture understanding
  • Presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Problem-solving and ownership mindset
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for business leaders
