About this role

Principal AWS Infrastructure Engineer role at Opto, a fintech platform modernizing private markets. You'll own AWS strategy and execution including EKS lifecycle management, multi-account architecture, and data governance while ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and FedRAMP-adjacent requirements.

What you'll do

  • Own Kubernetes/EKS lifecycle management and execute cluster upgrades independently
  • Inherit and improve Terraform-based infrastructure as code at scale across AWS
  • Design and evolve AWS enterprise networking setup and multi-account architecture
  • Partner with Security, Compliance, and Data teams on audit and governance requirements
  • Scale infrastructure to support company growth while maintaining reliability
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to administer hosted infrastructure needs

  • Terraform and Infrastructure as Code proficiency at scale
  • AWS cloud infrastructure (networking, containers, multi-AZ deployments)
