About this role
Outset Medical seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer II to install, maintain, and repair the Tablo Hemodialysis System across hospital, clinic, and home settings. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with customer support, cross-functional collaboration, and extensive U.S. travel to ensure optimal device performance and patient outcomes.
What you'll do
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair Tablo Dialysis Systems at customer facilities and patient homes
- Perform preventative maintenance including calibrations, hardware/software upgrades, and system verification
- Provide first and second-level technical support with after-hours and weekend availability
- Document service activities, manage spare parts inventory, and report issues through ERP systems
- Serve as technical subject matter expert, supporting internal teams and external stakeholders
- Collect and communicate product feedback to R&D to drive continuous improvement
What they're looking for
- Field service and medical device troubleshooting (5+ years)
- Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and fluidics components
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and flowcharts
- ERP database and software proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
- Communication and customer interaction
- Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied positions
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Self-directed problem-solving and multi-tasking
