About this role
Varda seeks a Build Reliability Engineer to partner with design and manufacturing teams on spacecraft hardware production processes, ensuring reliable vehicles are built at scale. You'll lead failure investigations, manage non-conforming product, and support quality and mission assurance across all vehicle systems.
What you'll do
- Create test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for spacecraft hardware in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams
- Contain and manage suspect or non-conforming product while guiding quality inspectors, technicians, and engineers
- Lead failure investigations in production, test, and operations to identify root causes and improve design and process reliability
- Conduct critical peer review of hardware during design reviews and qualification test campaigns
- Support quality, flight reliability, and mission assurance functions beyond build reliability
- Scale production processes and controls to enable high-rate, verified spacecraft manufacturing
